Brand Institute - Focus Group

"As a Brand Institute panel member, you have the power to shape the future competitive landscape in industries ranging from pharmaceutical to consumer products. The insights from our valuable panel members provide companies with enhanced decision-making capability, and influence how products and services will be made available to everyday consumers. So, let your opinions be heard and join one of our market research panel groups!"

Well, that's what the site says anyway. Lol. Basically sign up for this company if you enjoy giving your opinion on a wide variety of subjects and enjoy even more getting paid for it.

And yes, they do offer a referral program but you'll have to complete the VIP Questionnaire survey in order to qualify. Meanwhile, you do have the option of sending an invite to someone you know directly but you do not get a referral bonus for doing so.

Oh, and I forgot all about this site so I've been MIA for over a year. Rightfully, they deactivated my account. The good news is that it is easy to reactivate it by simply having a link sent to you email address.

Ads2Go - Paid to...Drive

ADS2GO

Have a car? Earn money. Lol.

Well, it isn't really that simple but it isn't really much more complicated than that either.

Alas, they do offer a referral program, but I would have to collect your information and then forward it to them. Maybe one day they will upgrade to a referral link instead. ~fingers crossed~

~Ms. Katrina

How much can I get paid?

About $50 per month for a car that's "fully loaded", that is, with about 1000 square inches of advertising on it.

What do you mean by "1000 square inches"?

Generally, drivers of vehicles with more square inches of advertising get paid more. A vehicle with about 1000 square inches would be a car with 2 12x24 signs, 2 12x12 signs, and 2 6x12 signs. In addition, vehicles will each carry between two and four small "Ads2go" signs.

Can I get paid a lot more by having a LOT more signs on my car?

No! Our main objective is to promote our advertisers. Cars that are cluttered with too much advertising might project the wrong image. And advertiser's signs would be harder to "find" on the car. Thus, we limit the total amount of advertising we will put on any one car.

What else affects how much I get paid?

Lots of things: How much you drive, your driving record, how long you have been an Ads2go driver, even whether you respond quickly to e-mails. The better you serve our client's needs, the more you get paid.

How long until I get money?

That depends. If your driving patterns are a good fit for an advertiser, we might contact you right away. Some folks may have to wait months before a match occurs. New drivers start getting paid about a month after they start.

mTurk

Amazon mTurk

mTurk is a program ran by the infamous Amazon.com. Requesters post small jobs and how much they are willing to pay for it. Workers read the assignment's requirements and decide whether or not to accept it. After the work is complete, click "submit hit". The requester confirms that the work has been completely adequately and then pays the worker. It is really just that simple.

Sometimes, special skills are required. Often, however, nothing more is required other than to be a coffee drinker or have a Facebook account.

The amount you will be paid will vary from $0.01 although I just completed one for $5. Not bad for about 10 minutes worth of work. To have more opportunities available to you, just go through the Qualifications tab and take some of the test. You'd be surprised to know that some of the test are simply "click here", good, you can read English. Lol.

This is yet another small source of income that can be done while watching television. (I'm watching the Daily Buzz now.)

After you've been paid, you can choose to either have your money paid into your bank account of added to your Amazon eCert balance.

Alpine Access - Call Center

ALPINE ACCESS

Each of our programs has its own, unique hours of operation. The majority of our shifts are 5 days a week and include one weekend day. For example: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday. The hours you will work are the same for all 5 days.

The general hours of operation are 6am-12am MT. Many schedules are designed to cover the times of day when people call for service, such as 1pm-10pm. It is rare that we offer a “morning only” shift and we do not offer overnight shifts. Most shifts are 6 to 8 consecutive hours. We do not have shifts that are less than 4 consecutive hours at a time. Shift commitments are a fixed schedule you agree to when you are offered a job. We require between 20-30 hours per week of daytime and weekday availability with at least 4 hours on each weekend. Alpine Access does not guarantee you will be scheduled for all of the hours you show as available nor do we guarantee a minimum number of hours per week. You will be asked to post your availability one to two weeks in advance of the week that is being scheduled.

Upon receiving a job offer, we conduct a background and credit check on all employees. At that time we will need to collect $45 from you to pay for the background check. This is required only for those people who are offered a position with the company. To become an employee, your credit check must not contain more than four “negatives” in the last four years. Negatives include collection accounts, unpaid charge-offs, public records which include liens on assets, and repossessions.

All of our customer care professionals are employees of Alpine Access. We pay our employees for all of their time worked, including time between calls and time spent training. As an employee you not required to fulfill the costly and extensive obligations that are required of an independent contractor.

We pay you for every minute you work, including time spent training. Training can be anywhere from three days to ten weeks.

~Ms. Katrina

West (AKA Work At Home Agent) - Call Center

WEST At Home (Formerly known as Work At Home Agent)

Getting a bit tired, so a bit of cut/paste on this one.

West is 100% inbound call taking. Meaning, all calls come to your home phone and you process the calls in real time on your computer. You must complete the training within a given time frame. The paid training length is 2-10 days for most people, depending on the pace you work. About two years ago, West transferred over from Independent Contractor to Employee status.

Some people work as few as 1 hour a week, others have been known to work over 100. How many hours you work is dependent on the number available and your ability to pick them up off the schedule. Hours are posted at random by West. It is up to the contractor to monitor the schedule and pick up hours they want to work. PLEASE NOTE: Hours can be very hard to come by, and it is strongly advised you do NOT count on West as the sole income to support your family until you have worked for several months and tracked your income progress.

Pay rate is usually in "talk time", which means by the minute. The per minute rate can range from .17c to .30c. Currently, two lines do offer a guaranteed hourly rate. Your earning potential is going to vary with the number of hours you work and the amount of call volume you have during your shift. A Full Time (30-40hr) contractor could expect to make $200-500 a week depending on call volume.

West At Home offers schedules based on either per minute rate, per call OR guaranteed hourly rate. If total earnings (whether via per minute, per call or guaranteed hourly rate) are less than minimum wage, employee compensation will be trued up to meet their local minimum wage requirements (our employees will always earn the greater of the two pay scales). West At Home employees are paid on a biweekly basis and Direct Deposit and/or Pay Card options are available immediately!PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you save ALL pay stubs from West in order to provide income verification for loans, etc., and for filing your taxes correctly each year.

You must adhere to your schedule with an 80% attendance rate. Meaning, you must work 80% of your scheduled shifts. There are NO "excused absences" for any reason. You do not need to call in sick. West does not offer sick time or vacation time. You would just not pick up hours for the time you want to be off work.

~Ms. Katrina

LiveOps - Call Center

LIVEOPS

LiveOps is a inbound call center and you will be a independent contractor. For the most part, you will function as a customer service representative and handle order or support calls for the clients of LiveOps. You will schedule yourself in available half hour increments but you are only paid for the actual calls that you take not the amount of time that you are logged into the system. The amount of calls you receive is subjective to the your perfermance score so be on your best behavior during each and every call. In addition, you can earn bonuses by upselling additional products during the call.

Before applying, please note that there is a background and credit check and some may even have to take a drug test. The cost for the basic check is $50 and it is not reimbursed by LiveOps. A low credit rating will not disqualify you from all of the projects available at LiveOps.

~Ms. Katrina

Market Force - Mystery Shopping and Merchandising

Market Force International

Market Force International offers a variety of assignments in merchandising and mystery shopping.

Merchandising is simply placing the items on the shelf in the manner prescribed by the company. (Yeah, I know. I thought store employees were responsible for that too! Lol.) It can be on a assignment by assignment basis or you can be assigned a weekly or biweekly assignment.

Mystery shopping is covertly checking out the business for cleanliness, customer service, etc.

This company has three separate portals and you will have to apply for each one individually.

The beauty of this type of work is that the hours are really flexible and self-directed. As long as you get the work done before the deadline has passed, you're golden.

~Ms. Katrina

DSG - Mystery Shopping

DSG Associates Inc.

This is a mystery shopping company I just found but it is getting rave reviews. Mystery shoppers are people who basically get paid to shop. Some companies reimburse you for any expenses that you incur. Others reimburse you and pay you extra for the work involved.

Word of advice: Be sure you have the time, resources, and inclination you complete an assignment before you accept it. The worst thing you can get in this field is a bad reputation for not completing assignments that you volunteered to complete.

Also, you should never have to pay to be a mystery shopper. A few companies do offer training and certification but it is not really necessary to begin your career as a mystery shopper.

Many people do mystery shopping as a full time career while others do it just to get a few things free, a hobby, or extra income. It is always up to you to determine just how much work you want to do. Just always be organized and disciplined to complete the assignments and you will do fine.

~Ms. Katrina

PrizeRebel - Win Prizes (Ages 13+)

PRIZE REBEL

While not technically a job, Prize Rebel allows you the opportunity to earn points towards cool prizes. It's also safe and great for children ages 13 and over. In fact, my child just today introduced me to this one when I inquired about all the mystery packages coming in the mail!

Checking out the prizes. They include prepaid cell phone minutes, SD Cards, Target/BestBuy/iTunes gift cards, an iPod Touch, and more...There is even a handy-dandy custom points calculator so you can get whatever you want via Amazon or Ebay. Woo Hoo!

Signing up myself just because I love things that I can waste my time doing while wasting my time watching television. PrizeRebel here I come...

~Ms. Katrina

Cloud 10 - Customer Service

CLOUD 10

This is a phone position of inbound customer service calls. I haven't personally done this one as I'm not a big fan of telephone work. The position offers self-directed training and you will be an actual employee of Cloud 10. You will be paid every two weeks by direct deposit and you will be expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. More information can be found on the website.

~Ms. Katrina

Mylot - Discussion Forum

Mylot

Another one that I had forgotten about. Mylot pays you to discuss any and everything. Yep, you'll be getting paid to give your opinion, good or bad, on an unlimited number of subjects. It won't be a lot, mind you, but it is yet another opportunity to earn a few pennies while watching the ol' boob tube.

Oh, and you get a referral bonus for the actions of the people who sign up under you. So, yeah, that's my referral link you'll be clicking to get to MyLot. Lol. I know, I know...I'm greedy like that!

The insatiable,

~Ms. Katrina

Quicktate - Transcription Beginners

Quicktate

Well, I signed up for Quicktate awhile back but I got busy with other things and they justifiably gave me the ol' heave-ho. Quickate is an excellent company for those just looking to make additional money or those who are looking to get their foot in the door for more lucrative transcription opportunities.

I may sign up with them again as it is really easy work and success at Quicktate will garner you an advancement to their other side, iDictate, which offers more opportunities for money. So, Quicktate is pretty much the gateway for further transcription assignments.

There is no set schedule with this position. You just sign in when you are ready to work. You can do this job while watching tv but have to remote handy to mute when a call comes in.

~Ms. Katrina

Key For Cash - Data Entry

Key For Cash

Key for Cash. I do this one. If you're just finding out about this company, sorry, you missed out on its heyday. Just a few years ago, I was making up to $8/hour doing simple data entry from home for this company. Now, because of the lowered pay rate, I just barely log in. However, it is an easy source of income if you're looking to make money while watching television.

"Here at KeyForCash, we pay you for your typing skills and your spare time. Our easy-to-use data entry system lets you earn money from the convenience and comfort of your own home."

You also missed on the "have email, have job" phase as now they have an evaluation test to determine whether or not to hire you. I have no clue what the test consists of because, well, I already work for them, and thus have no need to take it.

The job is really easy so the test should be too.

Good Luck to you,

~Ms. Katrina

Welcome

Welcome to I Work It, your one-stop-shop for homebased income opportunities.

Sometimes, said opportunities will garner you pennies.

Sometimes, said opportunity will garner you more than you would make at a full-time job.

Many jobs will be completely homebased.

Others will require you to leave the home yet use the internet to complete the assignments.

And, some jobs will hire you as an employee with all of the benefits that an employee relationship entails.

However, most companies will hire you as an independent contractor and you will have all of the important reporting responsibilities that being and IC entails.

As always, do your own research but I will always try to post only known reputable companies.

Good Luck,

~Ms. Katrina
